Historic Marine Barracks # 578 and 579 – Designed by Albert Kahn and built in 1941, prior to WWII – Demolished in September of 2013, by direction of The USFWS.
The UFWS has demolished seven historic properties – actions that were not contemplated by the 1996 programmatic agreement or the 2010 historic preservation plan.
